Growstones Product Characteristics
- Engineered porous material made from recycled glass
- Completely sterile and recyclable
- Have no phytotoxicity
- Shown in tests to have increased resistance to Pythium
Balanced Air And Moisture
Each Growstone particle contains structured micropores, allowing for rapid moisture absorption as well as controlled moisture release to the roots. The large number of macropores between particles maximizes drainage and oxygen availability at all times.
The combination of these two characteristics guarantees a truly balanced air-to-moisture ratio, allowing you to target exact plant-specific needs in a wide range of hydroponic growing systems and environmental conditions.
Water Savings
With Growstones, root oxygenation is not dependent on irrigation to dissolve the oxygen required for proper root growth and development. Irrigation schedules can be adjusted and savings in water and nutrient use can be seen.
Packaging
Growstones are available in a 1/2-inch particle size packaged in a 1 cubic foot paper bag.
